Dole Packaged Foods, LLC - PBM was retained for a Channel Innovation and Development program designed to identify a new industry and channel, in which to gain distribution for the Dole brand and its new innovative fruit snacks portfolio, within a retail sales category in which it does not compete. PBM identified the movie theatre industry channel for Dole, achieving a 10-week test market program within a global industry leading top-three movie theatre chain. The program was designed to introduce a new product, “Dole Real Fruit Bites,” to a leading global movie theatre chain as a healthier snacking alternative to enhance the consumer experience and it successfully resulted in penetration within three regions throughout the country. PBM was responsible for opportunity identification, developing the concept, outlining the areas of growth and business sustainability, identifying key distribution outlets and company leaders, negotiating and securing meetings with senior management and executive decision-makers, developing the executive presentation, and working with the Dole Foodservice Management Team to further explore and develop the overall concept and offering.
